Two or more users editing a scaffolding page (no edit warning).

We have used the scaffolding plug-in to create a meeting agenda and minutes template. We have noticed that if two people are editing the scaffold, neither get a warning that the page is being edited by another person. This is of course default functionality when editing a standard Confluence page and I just want to understand if there is a difference when using scaffolding.
