Perimeter plug-in gives error message: "Error formatting macro: secure-include: java...
I'm trying to use the Perimeter Plug-in and I'm receiving this error message:
Error formatting macro: secure-include: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/atlassian/plugin/servlet/BaseFileServerServlet
Can anyone tell me why? I'm using Confluence 3.0 and Perimeter 1.1.0. I'm in our production environment which is a secure site (https) and uses LDAP.

Inappropriate? It looks like a class that Perimiter depends on has been changed in Confluence 3.0. We'll have to update some code and cut a new release to get it working again.

David,
I was looking at the tickets in Jira and I didn't see one that corresponds to Confluence 3.0. Do I need to open a bug ticket? -
It wouldn't hurt. I'll schedule it for investigation once you create it. -
Inappropriate?Thank you for the prompt response. You may want to change the plug-in homepage so the availability doesn't say it is for v2.3 to 3.0.1.
I’m ok

Inappropriate?Has this plugin been updated for Confluence 3.0?
-
Inappropriate? Not yet, to my knowledge, unfortunately.
-
Inappropriate?Has anyone else found a work-around for this issue? We have a huge need for this plug-in and I need to find some type of work around before people choose to store their information outside of Confluence.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Corey,
Sorry for the delays, but unfortunately this particular plugin is pretty low on our priority list.
As callous as it sounds, the fastest way to get the plugin updated would be to pay someone to update it. It is an open source plugin, so theoretically anyone could do it, but we would also be happy to. If you'd like to set it up with us, shoot us an email. Otherwise, the link to the source code is here.
I understand it's frustrating, but it's an economic reality at the moment, unfortunately. Sorry I can't give a better answer at present!

Inappropriate? What price for plugin update work?

Hi Vitaliy,
I don't do the quoting end of the business. The best thing is to email info@customware.net and someone will arrange a quote for you.
