I would really like exhaustive documentation with plentyful examples
Hi,
I'm currently grappling with your excellent macros, mostly scaffolding and reporting. Being a programmer, I'm used to reading syntax and extracting what I need from example code. Working with your plug-ins is exhilarating and frustrating. Exhilarating, because I can glimpse an enormous treasure chest of possibilities, frustrating because I can *only* glimpse it, not truly access it. I keep finding myself in one dead-end after the other, almost, but not quite, able to achieve my goal. And that's because the documentation is mostly very terse syntax, without sufficient context and examples to figure out how to use all the good stuff. So I end up pestering you guys with questions instead, and sort of feel at the mercy of whether or not somebody at your end will pick up my question (which you mostly do, thanks for that!), not to mention the latency involved in being in a different time zone.
What are your plans in this area? Providing this kind of doc would probably save you guys a ton of support questions anyway.
Cheers,
/Martin

Inappropriate?Hello Martin -
Thanks for your excellent comments and compliments.
Scaffolding and Reporting are among our most popular open source plugins.
Given the extensive capabilities of these plugins alone, we have recently created two training programs for your exact goals - deeper dives and Q&A sessions to allow users to get the most out of the plugins.

Alternatively, we also offer open SLA flexible support contracts for priority support requirements, via phone, gotomeetings, direct emails, etc.
Beyond that, enhancements are time allowing like all our open source plugins, given our primary services business. Nonetheless, as you can see from the activity here alone - we do stay engaged.
If interested in either of these options, you may contact me direct at ellen [at] customware [dot] net.
