How can the Reporting Plugin change my life?

The Reporting Plugin is great for creating a list of stuff just the way you like it. Often, you can get basic results with some of the built-in plugins, such as {children} and {user-lister}, or even {incoming-links} but you want a little bit of extra information displayed, or displayed in a different order, or in a slightly different way. This is where reporting comes in.
Essentially, it lets you specify what information you want, how you want it displayed and in what order. It is particularly good at filtering different pages out based on a wide variety of factors, allowing you to create connections between different groups of pages. In combination with a something like the Scaffolding Plugin, this can let you use Confluence as a rudimentary database, albeit a relatively slow-performing one. But this is somewhat made up for in flexibility.
