Edit page is no displaying anything.
We recently upgraded to Confluence 3.0.1. It is running fine, and I thought that the scaffolding plugin was working. I have the "expense form" example that is loaded. I see the template alright, but when I go to edit it, the page is completly blank. Any idea what I am missing?

Inappropriate? If the page is completely blank (ie, no header/footer or anything), that means something is breaking in the 'decorator' level of the page. Does the site have a custom theme, or have any layouts been modified?
Check in the server's log files to see if there are any errors. That can also be a good clue. -
Inappropriate? There is no customization, other than installing a 'expand' plugin. I"m attaching my log file, and a couple of screen shots to see if it makes any sense to you. Cause I am not seeing the problem at all.
hmmm...checking around, is there no way to attach a file? I can cut and paste it in to this box, but that doesn't seem quite right.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? You can attach images only, by the looks. It might be better if you create an issue in our JIRA issue tracker - you can attach files of any type there.

Inappropriate?Lets change up the question a bit. Has anyone gotten this plugin to work? Or does anyone know of any plugin that allows templating that does work?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Jo-Anne. I'm not sure what the issue would be exactly. Many people (hundreds, in fact) have gotten this plugin working with Confluence before, so it's a bit mystifying what might be causing your problems. It seems like you have the right version of both Confluence and Scaffolding. All a bit odd....
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Personally I'm wondering if you (customware) have made an assumption somewhere that most users would have installed. This is a brand new installation, with no other plugins installed. Either that, or there is a problem with the sample that I am using (which I got from your webpage).
-
Inappropriate? It will work fine out of the box. How are you installing it? Via the plugin repository? Or some other method?
When you say you're using a sample, do you mean sample wiki markup? -
Inappropriate? This is what I am testing with: http://confluence.atlassian.com/displ...
I've enabled it fvia plugin repository, and I've copied it over to the directory and restarted confluence. Perhaps I am not holding my tongue correctly when I enable it? -
Inappropriate? When you say you've copied it over to the directory, what do you mean exactly? It definitely won't work if you install it by copying into WEB-INF/lib. I'm assuming you meant that you tried it both ways.
If you have it in WEB-INF/lib, remove it from there and restart Confluence.

Inappropriate?OK, I have it resolved now.
I would strongly recommend that you update your documentation so that it doesn't say that you can put it in the WEB-INF/lib directory.

Glad to hear it's sorted out. Sorry it took so long!
You're correct, the documentation you mentioned is a bit out of date. I'd actually forgotten it existed... We'll update it shortly. Thanks for the heads-up.
