Does visibility macro run LDAP queries?
When using LDAP, does this plugin cause an LDAP query to take place when the macro is encountered? I am concerned about potential performance issues or instability of our Active directory, which is the current source of authentication for lulunet, that could be caused by over usage of the Show-to/hide-from macros. Can you shed some light on this for me.

Inappropriate?Bit late to the party, sorry. The plugins don't directly access LDAP, but they do use the standard User API from Confluence, which would be using LDAP if you have it hooked up that way. There's not much that can be done from our end to improve that performance if you want to test based on User details, but I know that some versions of Confluence had some bad default configuration for LDAP connections. My suggestion would be to contact Atlassian to see if they can help you optimise your connection.
