Composition plug-in does not work with templates
Is there a issue with using template variables when they are contained within the composition macro? I have a template which has the composition macro and several cards and on the first card I have several template variables. When I create a page using that template the option to insert variables displays but the variables themselves does not display.

Inappropriate?I've never tried it, but it doesn't surprise me. The problem is that the Composition plugin uses some JavaScript that needs to be executed after the page loads, and most locations in Confluence don't trigger the JavaScript. I would guess that the standard template page doesn't trigger it either.
The only workaround I can suggest is to use the Scaffolding Plugin instead of using standard templates. The Scaffolding Edit page does support Composition, so you should be able to fill in the blanks in that case.
